Note: Of the 185 Kittens listed in the Database, 17 have
been removed from the total as being unknown as to whether or
not they would have displayed the Pd Gene (Polydactyl).
The "unknowns" are due primarily to stillborns and
early death after birth, where digit configurations could not be
determined. The sampling pool of kittens is still
relatively small which will introduce greater margins of error
in calculated results.
For analysis purposes this leaves basis of 168 sampled kittens,
of which 104 are visually displaying the Pd Gene (Polydactyl)
and 64 which are not (Non Poly). |

ANALYSIS - GENDER & POLYDACTYLY |
Sampling
Basis
144 kittens expressing the Pd (Polydactyl) gene and 59
kittens without the gene expression (Non Poly) were
sampled. In addition 13 polydactyl kittens |
